Sports goggles available in different sizes and lenses can be clear or tinted lenses and/or prescription lenses. When picking the size of the sports goggle, most sizes are stated in millimeters in the format of (xx/yy). The first number (xx) is the distance across one lens in millimeters. The second number (yy) is the distance between the two lenses stated in millimeters. When using mail/internet order, an easier way of measuring is to find a glasses frame that fit you then check the size of that glasses (usually written across the bridge or on the temple of the frame). Some sports goggle may need a bit larger size for better peripheral vision. For prescription lenses, merchants need the prescription as actually written by your doctor. For mail/internet order, merchants also need PD (pupil distance) measurements to ensure prescription is made accurately. You can obtain your pupil distance from whomever fit your last pair of glasses. This is usually not written on your prescription, but is a measurement taken by the optician filling the prescription. Usually, prescription lenses would fit best if you go to local store in person on local store yet it may also cost more. One of the alternative is to mail order the goggle without lenses and fill the prescription lenses in the local store.
