This page is the result of a suggestion by one of you (parent members) and the BCS Board passed in the December, 2006 monthly meeting to make board meeting minutes available to all general members.

With a total of 36 board members running a non-profit school with 1300 students, 3 middle school campuses from Berryessa Union School District, 68 languages classes, 36 culture classes, over 100 teachers. We are asking a lot from our board members.

All BCS Board of Directors are parent members. The title is a glamorous one but the work involved in running the school is not. These are volunteers with their own day job and families to tend to. They take precious time out away from their families. They do not receive any benefits nor compensations. The award to them is to see that our kids succeed in learning our heritage.

It is not a request but a requirement for every parent member to volunteer their time as room parents, campus patrols and event helpers. We also welcome parents to volunteer to become Board members to help run OUR school.

The current BCS Board would like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge the tremendous help from all current and former volunteer parents. Without each and everyone of you, BCS can not be what it is today.

BCS is a co-op school. This is YOUR school! Every parent is a member and your opinions count.
