BCS is a co-op school. Every parent is a member and your opinions count. You can either drop a note at each campus office, leave a message at our message center (408-764-9648); email your thoughts and comments to us at bcs_board@yahoo.com, or join us to help our kids to succeed in learning our heritage.
The weekly BCS newsletter (green publication) is also your publication. Opinions on school operations; suggestions; health tips; articles, etc are welcome. All entries can be emailed to bcs_editor@yahoo.com or drop off at each campus office. Deadline for submission is Tuesday 6pm.

**Editor's Note**:
The following is a quote from former President Bill Clintonˇ¦s 2000 Thanksgiving speech
ˇ§ˇKAs we celebrate Thanksgiving, let us remember with gratitude that despite our differences in background, age, politics, or race, each of us is a member of our larger American family and that, working together, there is nothing we cannot accomplish in this promising new century.....ˇ¨
Every member of BCS has benefited from the generosity, hospitality, courtesy, selfless efforts, and contributions of staffs and teachers of Berryessa Union School District (BUSD). With over 1300 students, 100 teachers, 65 language and 35 culture classes, BCS is thankful to be able to share the BUSD facility for our children to learn our language, culture and be a contributing member to the community we serve. Let us show our gratitude by keeping the facility clean, tidy; refraining from using any equipment in each classroom; keeping our obligations, respect and responsibilities as guests to the BUSD facility. We need everyone to be diligent in observing classroom rules. Room parents please assist teachers to enforce classroom rules. Without your vigilance in keeping classroom rules, we would one day loose our privilege in using the BUSD facility.
Wish everyone a safe and thankful Thanksgiving holidays to all.

Dear Parents,
Please forward the following to everyone in your class.
We would like to bring your attention to an accident happened yesterday, Wednedsy 11/14, on Cropley Ave By the Berryessa Youth Center at Morrill Middle School where our BCS Morrill campus office is located.
At about 4pm, a Morrill Middle School student, believed to have left the BYC, crossed Cropley Ave without using the crosswalk at the traffic stop at Cropley and Morrill Ave. The student was hit by an oncoming car and suffered severe bodily injury.
Despite the presence and efforts of the Morrill parent patrol team members at the Cropley crosswalk and along Cropley Ave., every Saturday, we still see parents dashing across Cropley Ave from the BYC to get to their cars parked at the Church, ignoring the patrol team members and SAFETY to gain a minute or two's time.
It was a tragic and unfortunate but yet avoidable accident. On a positive note, this incident should serve as a reminder to everyone about SAFETY and how important it is to use the cross walks.
We would like to wish the injured student a speedy recovery and everyone a joyous and SAFE Thanksgiving holidays.
