**Trasnfer/Skip grade** reminder
A change of internal transfer/skip grade policy for 2008-2009: The May placement test is the only test for internal transfer/skip grade. Both the May and Sept placement tests will be reserved for new students who wish to transfer to BCS. Please make a note of it.

BCS is a co-op school and every parent member is obligated to help our kids to succeed in learning our heritage. It is a requirement NOT a request. We need parents to server BCS board for next year. Please let us know which area(s) that you can help: administration, curriculum, etc to the BCS email at bcs_board@yahoo.com.
Also we are recruiting teachers from our parent members. The Association of Northern California Chinese School (ANCCS) will offer teacher training class this summer. All parents that are interested in becoming BCS teachers (Cantonese, Mandarin, and special Mandarin), please forward your interest/questions to BCS email at bcs_board@yahoo.com.

**Daylight Saving Time** reminder March 9, 2008
If you are not aware of the new daylight saving time (changes started in 2007), it starts on March 9, 2008 and ends November 2, 2008. Before you go to bed Saturday night 3/8, set all your clocks AHEAD 1 hour.

**Parent volunteers needed for curriculum evaluation**
Everyone of you is a member of BCS and your kids' success in learning our heritage relies on how well our curriculum is implemented. Mandarin Curriculum department invites you to help us evaluate our curriculum from 3/8 to 4/26. This is a good opportunity for you to voice your inputs on how your kids can benefit from our curriuclum. For those of you who are interested, please report to each campus office by 9am. You will be assigned with a group to attend 20 minutes in each assigned language class. Instructions and evaluation forms will be provided to you.
Please join us to help our kids succeed in learning our heritage. See you at each campus office for the next few weeks.

**New Adult Culture Classes**
We have a variety of adult culture classes available to all parents. Basic computer usage and therapeutic Yoga are among the new classes for next year. Please check our website www.bcs-usa.org or each campus office for more info.
**Spring Performance helpers' meeting on 4/5**
Spring Performance is on Sunday 4/13. Morrill campus is the designated campus to help in the Spring Performance. Two helpers from each class please meet at the Morrill office from 9:15am to 10am go over the work load and shifts.
